Armani Maestro Foundation

This is another new foundation that was launched earlier this year. This was one product that I was super excited by, it is super sheer in texture and leaves your skin looking radiant and beautiful. It is very rare that I get this excited by a product, and even rarer that I rush to a counter and buy all 12 shades of a range. The reason that I love it so much is simple, it looks like you have managed to apply a layer of perfect skin on top of your skin. It is very light in coverage, not everyone’s cup of tea, but for me it’s the perfect consistency. It is the first ever liquid foundation that does not contain water inside, it uses a blend of five oils to balance the pigment inside, two of the oils evaporate on contact with skin. There is no talc inside either so the product will never look dry on your skin. Armani are saying that this is a brand new category in the makeup world, there is nothing like it on the market. Linda Cantello Armani’s International Makeup Artist (and one of my hero’s) says this about the product

“It’s not a foundation, it’s a complexion perfector. A whole new generation of make-up that feels incredible, looks invisible and makes skin appear luminous every time. Anyone can wear it!!!”

. Another big plus is that Armani say that it is best to apply with fingers, are you listening? It is available from Brown Thomas Dublin & Cork and costs €45.00

  1. Hi Leonard,

I normally buy Luminous Silk Foundation by Armani and actually was due to buy a new bottle next week. Do you think Maestro is worth a try instead? My skin type would be dry (but not very dry).

    Lovin’ the blog 🙂

  2. I bought the Maestro no.5 on your recommendation and I have to say I absolutely love it – its totally different in feel to other foundations really soft not drying in the least and so light.

  3. Hi leonard , I am loving your new blog…….it’s great to get a professional honest opinion on products!! I am just about to purchase a new foundation and after your reviews will go for either Armani maestro or ysl touché éclat Foundation…..I have fairly good skin ,main problem is pigmentation on the t zone… can be dry and sensitive to perfume/ smell …..would love your opinion on which might suit best? Thanks in advance

    1. I would go into BT’s and get samples of both foundations and then I would get the Armani Maestro Erase concealer in one shade lighter than your foundation to eliminate the pigmentation. Hope this is helpful. Leonard
