So last night The SAG Awards were held in LA and some of the looks were AMAZING!
As always Jessica Chastain’s makeup was flawless and her hair was stunning! I didn’t like what she did with her hair for the Globes, but she has redeemed herself this week. She wore an incredible Alexander McQueen dress which was super sexy and made her look like Jessica Rabbit.
Her hair and makeup were understated and beautiful. Jessica’s makeup artist Kristofer Buckle used YSL’s Touche Eclat Foundation on her skin in B40 to get that amazing light infused look and for her cheeks he used a blush from Lancome’s summer collection (available in May) to add just a hint of colour. This made her look so healthy, it really is beautiful! (can’t wait to get my hands on this perfectly peach blusher myself!).
For this look it is all about the skin, so really focus on that, blend, blend and when you think you’re done blend some more! For Jessica’s eyes her artist used a mix of a few colours, keeping the lightest colours in the inner part of the lid and adding some shadow to the outter part of the top lid. Using her brow bone as a guide to where to stop adding colour and then blending inwards. This will make your eyes appear larger and if you use the correct colours the colour of your eyes will ‘pop’. Kristofer used Lancome Ombre Hypnose P102 Sable Enchante, Lancome Ombre Hypnose I204 Cuban Light,Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Filigree and Snap. These colours work perfectly with Jessica’s eye colour making them appear brighter and bigger! He then added a very fine line of liner to really show the shape of Jessica’s eyes, for this he used Lancome’s Liner Plume in Black. To really add drama to the look lashings of mascara was added to Jessica’s top lashes only, one of my favourite mascara was used, Lancome’s Hypnose Star Mascara. It’s the one with the glittery packaging! And then to frame her whole face Giorgio Armani’s eye brow defining pencil was used.
As the makeup look was very neutral a bright lippy was in order. For the lipstick they choose YSL’s Rouge Volupte Shine in Rouge and the shade is called Danger.
This look is really simple to recreate yourself, just remember to blend everything really well! Let me know if you recreate it!
