So yesterday I was working in the look-book for Helen Steele’s Autumn Winter collection. We had such a great day. It is so much fun working with a crew who is so creative and passionate about their job. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that my job can be so much fun! I really love painting faces!! Helen’s collection for next A/W is amazing! The prints are incredible (I have my eye on some of the prints and hoping that I can order a couple of t-shirts that will fit me).

Helen used Yomico as the model, who has the most beautiful skin. So we wanted to really show this in the images. The makeup is very simple with a statement lip.

On Yomico’s skin I used Giorgio Armani’s new foundation Maestro, only really using it on certain parts of her skin to even the tone, I then used their new concealer in a lighter shade to highlight under the eyes and around the temple areas of her face (Yomico’s skin is so perfect there was no need to use concealer but I wanted to brighten up her skin with a lighter shade). I then contoured her cheekbones using Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate, to really give Yomico razor sharp cheekbones. I brought the contour line right dow to the outside of her perfect mouth. On Yomiko’s eyes I really didn’t want a lot of makeup, just a simple liner with the smallest flick to widen her eyes. I used YSL’s Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils in No.2 Ashy Black and applied it with a liner brush from Inglot. I wanted it to be very soft and not very neat so it looked undone. I then applied Ardell false lashes 105 to Yomico’s eyes to open them up further. To add interest to Yomico’s skin I kept it very matte using Shiseido’s translucent powder all day but using Kevyn Aucoin’s Candlelight in a half circle shape with the crescent of the circle between the eye brows and coming down under her eyebrows to where her ear lobes are. This sheen is very soft just adds a little interest to her very matte skin. For the statement lips I used one of my favourite lipsticks from YSL Rouge Pur Couture range in shade number 13, a perfect orange coral colour, this range of lipsticks are super moisturising because I wanted the lips to be mega matte I added a MAC powder pigment to them, making them very matte and also intensifying the colour. I do hope you like this look!

Jenni Crawford from Kazumi hair salon was working her magic on hair and it was just perfect, super glossy and perfectly straight. Anthony Wood was the photographer and he is great fun on a job. It was a perfect day! Can’t wait to see the finished photo’s!
