So last night I was invited to the launch of Space NK’s brand spanking new Dublin flagship store on Grafton Street. It was packed to the rafters with beauty press, bloggers and all types of beauty gurus.
Space NK is the brainchild of Nicky Kinnaird, who is from Northern Ireland so we can claim her right? Nicky opened the first
Mecca Space NK, in London’s Covent Garden in 1993 and today there are over 60 locations worldwide. I managed to have a chat with Nicky and she told me that she has been looking for the perfect location in Dublin for over 10 years to open her flagship store. There is a Space NK located in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum, but space is tight and Space NK is far more impressive when it’s a stand alone store. There are over 100 brands available with 51 of them being exclusive to Space NK. I got overwhelmed by all the beauty, skin, hair body, hair tool fragrance and home fragrance last night, I had forgotten my wallet, which was a good thing as I expect I would have spend all of my money on makeup!
I also met Chris James, who’s cleanse I am planning to do next week there, here’s the link to that piece. He’s totally lovely and was full if
terrifying great advice for my cleanse. When myself and Hazel came home and were telling Glenn about the cleanse he went all Honey Boo Boo about his dinners next week (it was fantastically funny and all credit goes to my Hazel).
The mix of products in the store is incredible with prices ranging from really affordable to splurge but all of them are amazing! And have passed the Space NK test! There was some products that I have not tried yet and that has made me very happy! One that I have tried before is called Omorovicza an amazing brand from Budapest which is all kinds of fantastic.
Now get yourself to Grafton Street and enjoy! I imagine I will be spending lots of time in there having a play and spending far too much money (I can’t wait). Welcome to Dublin Space NK we have been expecting you!
