New Year, New Resolutions, New Blog & New Skin

Every year myself and Glenn spend New Year with our friend Siobhan and every year we write our Resolutions on a piece of paper, Siobhan keeps them and the following year we open them and see if we managed to stick to any of them. Generally I don’t manage to stick to them as I give myself really stupid goals, like completing a Triathlon, really me?? I am not outdoorsy and the idea of running through mud getting dirty really does not appeal to me in any way, I’m a LADY!!

So this year I made them way more doable, and my blog is on the list. 2014 was a great year, it got busy and I had ‘no time’ to write in the latter part of the year. I really just didn’t manage my time right and could have written. So for 2015 I am back writing more and hopefully better! I have also set myself a challenge of being able to swim 2k every time I go to the pool, I did manage to get to 1k before the christmas chocolate challenge, which of course I won and then some! So the 2k may take a lot of time!!

Re-Nutriv+Dual+Infusion_Product+Shot+on+White_Global_Expires+Nov+'15The first product for your New Skin is this little gem from Estee Lauder. It’s from the Re-Nutriv range and is brand spanking new with ingredients that have never been used in skincare before (that I know of). Since 1956 Re-Nutriv has been a staple in luxury skincare, that’s 58 years being on top. This new serum will keep it at the top of the skincare food chain for many years to come. As with the original cream the ingredients in this cream are sourced from all over the world with South Sea Pearls, 24k Gold and the new kinda amazing ingredient Black Diamond Truffle.

There are two serums in this product and needless to say the science that’s involved is mind boggling. So I will try and make it less sciencey if possible! The main goal of this product is to rejuvenate your skin, making it feel and appear more youthful. I have been using it for about one month and I can really see a difference. The first of the serums or elixirs contains Black Diamond Truffle, which comes from the Southwest of France. Truffles have historically been used as an aphrodisiac and for their therapeutic properties. This is the first time they have been used in skincare (as far as I am aware). The Black Diamond Truffle has been transformed by Re-Nutriv into a scientifically advanced, potent energy infusion that empowers skin’s beauty. The two  elixirs have been sealed apart to preserve intense potency of each one, they come together upon application to you skin and promise to dramatically transform every facet of skin for a more sculpted, more refined, more luminous look.

The scientists at Estee Lauder have been working on this formula for five years and for the first time new patented youth-sustaining technologies support SIRT-6, one of skin’s most powerful longevity genes. SIRT-6 plays an essential role in skin by helping counter premature signs of ageing through multiple biological pathways. I have actually spent three hours reading material from lots of different sites to try and explain how SIRT-6 works and I am at a loss, basically it’s a part of your cells that keeps your skin looking and feeling better. It’s what shows premature ageing and we all should be looking after it!! Re-Nutriv are the first to use it in skincare and I think many many brands will be trying to jump on the bandwagon in the near future as it tackles our main concern at a cellular level.

Now for the bad news, with every new advance in skincare there is always a price to pay. The cost of Ultimate Black Diamond Sculpting/Refinishing Dual Infusion is €340.00. Steep yes but worth it I think. If you see me and I look 12 you’ll know that it works!!
